Sanjukta Nath is a researcher and a Doctoral Candidate from Jawaharlal Nehru University, India, who is working on Male Victims of Sexual Violence in Armed Conflict as a part of her doctoral thesis. The title of her thesis is “Gender, Violence and Conflict: Examining Male Victimhood and Conflict Related Sexual Violence in International Relations”. She is looking at the idea of gender and male victimhood in international relations with regards to conflict-related sexual violence. It is a conceptual analysis to locate male victimhood in international legal and humanitarian institutions along with understanding whether there is a conflation between the idea of gender and women in international relations. She has also recently published a research article titled “Examining Militarized Masculinity, Violence and Conflict: Male Survivors of Torture in International Politics” in International Studies, Sage Publications.
