Aime is the head of the organisation called "Men of Hope", a group for male survivors of conflict related sexual violence. His work includes advocacy and sensitisation on sexual violence against boys and men, the facilitation of training for UPDF (Uganda army), police, prisons, immigration, the judiciary, medical and legal students, and civil society organizations. As a result of his ground-breaking work on breaking the taboos around the subject of conflict related sexual violence against boys and men in his region, he was awarded the 2020 EU Human Rights Defenders Award, given each year in Uganda to recognise the contribution of one outstanding human rights defenders to advancing human rights in Uganda.
